Empowering Education for Firefighter Families
At Firefighters First Credit Union, we believe in investing in the future of those who serve our communities. Our annual Scholarship Program helps support the educational goals of our members and their dependents—because when firefighters give their all, we want to give something back.
Who Can Apply
- Relationship to Fire Service: Be the biological or adopted child of an active, retired, or fallen firefighter within the United States who is/was a member of Firefighters First Credit Union.
- Membership: Be a member of Firefighters First Credit Union.
- Educational Status: Be a senior in high school or over the age of 16 with a GED, or currently enrolled in a community college, university as an undergraduate, or trade school.
- Age Requirement: Be under the age of 26.
Award Details
Each year, we award multiple scholarships based on academic achievement, community involvement, and a personal essay. Scholarship amounts are $5,000.
How to Apply
Applications open annually. Applicants must submit:
- Completed online application form
- Recent transcripts or proof of enrollment
- A short essay or personal statement (topic varies year to year)
Check back early next year for updated dates and application instructions.
Winners will be announced in July 2025.
